| Day 2 Shanghai Welcome to Shanghai, the legendary seaport and the gateway to China. The cosmopolitan port city of Shanghai is a treat to the senses with its mix of ancient and modern influences. You will be fascinated by its unique culture and people. You will be met by your friendly guide and transferred to the 4-star Galaxy Hotel. |
| Day 3 Shanghai Today you will visit the Jade Buddha Temple, Yu Yuan Garden and the Bund, which is located along the bank of the Huangpu River. Also visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower for a bird's eye view of the city. A visit to a carpet factory is also on the agenda. An amazing Acrobatic Show follows dinner. (B/L/D) |
| Day 4 Shanghai Morning excursion to Zhujiajiao, an ancient watertown near Shanghai. In the afternoon visit the world famous Shanghai Museum. (B/L/D) |
| Day 5 Shanghai - Yichang After breakfast, transfer to airport to fly to Yichang. If time permits, enjoy a city tour. Your guide will help you board the beautiful 4-star MV Splendid China of CITS Presidential Cruise. (B/L/D) |
| Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise Take a shore excursion to visit the new dam construction site. Later, absorb the spectacular sights of the Xiling Gorge. (B/L/D) |
| Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise Small boat shore excursion along Shennong Stream, a natural habitat of mandarin ducks and golden-hair monkeys. In the afternoon, admire the breathtaking sights of the narrow cliff walls and dramatic vistas in the Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge. (B/L/D) |

| Day 9 Chongqing - Xian Disembark after breakfast. Sightseeing includes the World War II Museum and Stillwell Museum. If time allows, visit the Painter's Village. Transfer to the airport to fly to Xian. Stay at the 4-star Aurum International Hotel or similar. (B/L/D) |
| Day 10 Xian Marvel at the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses in battle formation, guarding the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang. Later, visit the Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy a Dumpling Dinner before watching the Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/D) |
