Day 1 Home City Beijing
Board your transpacific direct flight to Beijing. Cross the international dateline and set your watch a day ahead.
Day 2 Beijing
Arrive in Chinas capital city in the late afternoon. Transfer to the 5-Star New Otani Hotel. Attend a welcome dinner and orientation. (D)
Day 3 Beijing
Tour Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City, home to many priceless treasures. Savour a Dim Sum Lunch and explore the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon. In the evening, you may choose to attend an exciting optional Legend of Kungfu Show. (B/L/D)
Day 4 Beijing
Stroll along the mighty Great Wall then indulge in a locally flavoured lunch. Take a photo stop at the Olympic sites, where you will see the Bird Nest Stadium and Water Cube Aquatic Centre. Visit the Cloisonne Factory to experience the art of Chinese pottery-making and go on a Hutong tour by pedi cab, driving through the ancient streets and residential areas to see the daily life of local people. A sumptuous Roast Duck dinner will be served in the evening. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Beijing Wuhan
Take an early morning flight to Wuhan. Visit the fascinating Provincial Museum and transfer to Yichang to board the 5-star MS Sunshine. (B/L/D)
Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise
Participate in guided Tai Chi in the early morning. Enjoy the stunning scenery as you sail through Xiling Gorge. Embark on a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site, the largest water conservancy project undertaken by man. Later, enjoy the spectacular sights while passing through the Three Gorges Dam 5-stage ship locks. In the evening, there will be a Captain's Dinner and a Folkloric Performance. (B/L/D)
Day 7 Three Gorges
Participate in guided Tai Chi in the early morning. Depending on the river conditions, there may be a shore excursion to Shennong Stream, which is a natural habitat of the mandarin ducks and golden-hair monkeys. After lunch, admire breathtaking sights of the narrow cliff walls and dramatic vistas in the Wu Gorge and Qutang Gorge. (B/L/D)
Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise
Participate in guided Tai Chi in the early morning. Later in the morning, take a shore excursion to Fengdu "the Ghost City" or Shibaozhai, home to a 12 storey red wooden pavilion built against a protruding 220 meter rectangular rock. (B/L/D)
Day 9 Chongqing - Xian
In the early morning, participate in guided Tai Chi and then arrive in Chongqing. Visit the Erling Park and the Flying Tiger Museum. Fly to Xian. Tour the Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. Spend the night at the 5-Star Shangri-La Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 10 Xian
Explore the famous Terra Cotta Museum where you will see the mighty terra cotta warriors. Lunch features local cuisine. Visit the Jade Factory. In the evening, watch an amazing Tang Dynasty Dinner Show. Dinner includes four kinds of specialty dumplings. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Xian - Suzhou
Take a morning flight to Shanghai. Coach to Suzhou, the Venice of the East. Visit the Master of Nets Garden, plus a Silk Factory and Workshop. Stay at the 5-star Garden Hotel. (B/D)
Day 12 Suzhou Zhujiajiao Water Town Shanghai
After breakfast, coach to Shanghai. En route, explore an ancient water town called Zhujiajiao. Board a boat cruise on the canal to see the life of the local people. You will also visit an old Post Office and an ancient Medicine Store. Take some time to explore and stroll around the interesting bridges and photo stops. Coach to Shanghai and visit the Bund before dinner. Transfer to 5-Star Jin Jiang Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 13 Shanghai
Visit the 4th tallest Tower in the world: the Jinmao Tower and view vibrant Shanghai from above. Take a stroll through Yu Garden and savour a Mongolian BBQ Buffet Lunch. Then, stroll down Nanjing Road, Xintiandi and the markets. A delicious Farewell Dinner is planned. In the evening, you may choose to attend an exciting Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)
Day 14 Shanghai
After breakfast, enjoy a day of leisure to shop and explore. Visit the spectacular Shanghai Expo or shop on the famous Nanjing Road. Markets, shops, restaurants and major sights are all within walking distance. (B)
Day 15 Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Expo or continue to shop and explore. Two Day Expo Tickets and a roundtrip shuttle is included in the tour! (B)
Day 16 Shanghai Beijing Home City
After breakfast, transfer to the airport. Say good-bye to China as you board your transpacific flight home. (B)
