Day 2 Beijing
Welcome to Beijing, capital city of the world's most populous nation. You will be met by your friendly guide and transfer to the impressive Beijing Wangfu Peninsula 5-star Hotel. Day 3 Beijing
Visit Tian An Men Square, the largest public plaza in the world. Wander around Forbidden City - the Imperial Palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties; once home to two-dozen Emperors and the largest, most well preserved imperial palace complex. Stroll through the beautiful Summer Palace, currently designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch will be served dim sum style at a popular spot with the Beijing locals. Day 4 Beijing
Lace up your walking shoes as today, you'll walk the mighty Great Wall of China. Built over 2,000 years ago and world famous for its architectural grandeur and historical significance, the Great Wall remains one of the most fascinating attractions for people from all over the world. Enjoy a stroll through Beijing Olympic Village. Tonight, you will feast on a scrumptious Peking Duck Dinner. (B/L/D)
Day 5 Beijing
Embark on the Hutong Tour (also called a Rickshaw Tour) through ancient residential areas, giving you fresh insight into Beijing’s local life. Lunch served today to be Western Buffett style. Day 6 Beijing – Xian
This morning, visit the impressive Temple of Heaven. This temple is seen as the most holy of Beijing's imperial temples and was where the emperor came every winter solstice to worship Heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest. Although in imperial times commoners were not allowed to enter the enormous park, today the space is open to all. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian and transfer to 5-star Shangri-la Hotel. (B/L/D)
Day 7 Xian
Explore Xian, home of the world famous Terra Cotta Warriors. In 1974, a farmer uncovered one of the major archaeological discoveries of the 20th century: the Tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang guarded by the Terra Cotta Warriors. Marvel at the statues of 8,000 life-size warriors and horses in battle formation, guarding the Emperor and his precious treasures. In the afternoon, visit the ancient City Wall. After dinner, attend the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. (B/L/D)
Day 8 Xian – Guilin
Visit the Grand Mosque, a fine example of the symmetrical design seen in traditional Chinese architecture. During the Tang Dynasty, Moslems traveled the world famous Silk Road to Chang'an (former Xian) bringing Islam to China. With the support of Tang Emperor Xuanzong (685-762, reigned 712-756), the Great Mosque was established in 742. It is a fine example of cultural merging. Lunch is served today in the style of “hot pot”. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the well-preserved Buddhist shrine and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Later, transfer to the airport for a flight to Guilin and transfer to the 5-star Sheraton Hotel or similar. Take in the tranquil beauty of Guilin and enjoy some leisure time. (B/L/D)
Day 9 Guilin
Experience stunning landscapes, lush tropical greenery and unique needle-like limestones as you cruise the Li River. Arrive in Yangshuo this afternoon, and stroll the bustling markets. Later, you have the opportunity to attend the Liu Sanjie Show, an amazing presentation using the spectacular landscape of Yangshuo as a natural setting. (B/L/D)
Day 10 Guilin – Hong Kong
Continue to enjoy the peaceful nature of this magical place called Guilin. Visit the rock formations of water-eroded Reed Flute Cave, towering Fubo Hill and charming Elephant Trunk Hill. Transfer to the airport and fly to HKG. Upon arrival, you will be met and transfer to the impressive 5-star Intercontinental Hotel or similar. (B/L/D)
Day 11 Hong Kong
On a private tour, spend a half-day in Hong Kong island viewing sights such as Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay and the Aberdeen Fishing Village. Hong Kong is divided into four sections: Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories, and numerous outlying islands.
